Creating Passive Income Knowledge Base
Cheap ways to create passive income? I recently read the old self-help book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and I really like the idea of having sources of passive income. The author talks a lot about real estate and buying businesses, but that's a bit out of my price range right now. And I've already invested in some stocks. What are some cheaper ways of creating a steady source of passive income for a poor novice such as myself? Perhaps something that costs somewhere between $100 to $5,000? I have a job. Don't be lame and state the obvious.
Can I generate passive income in an underdeveloped country? I have loaded myself with information related to money management and how to make money work for me, at least the theoretical part. My intention is to make serious steps for creating figures with passive income, thing is I'm living in a underdeveloped country with poor economic system and poor access to internet. I'm from south america, Paraguay. Is there any change to set up an online business or the sort? people make money out of direct sales only, but everybody gets sick of working for money, dont they?
What would be a good "starter" investment to create PASSIVE INCOME? I am stuck in a "rut" of working and paying bills. I know there is a better way, but I haven't found it yet. I have very little money to invest at this time, but would like to start somewhere. I have always heard that real estate is the way to go, but I don't believe I have that kind of "ching" and I am not handy (so being a landlord does not appeal to me). Is there anything BESIDES real estate that I can invest in that will give me PASSIVE INCOME? Note: I do not rent, but I have a mortgage payment (so I don't necessarily "own" either...do I?) What are my options?
How can I become a composer and compose music to create passive income? I am a freshman in high school and I play the saxophone in my school band. I love music and believe me I am DETERMINED to succeed in music. I have been reading books about how to create passive income and one way they mentioned was to collect royalties by being a composer and compose music which was aka intellectual property. I LOVE music and playing my instrument, but I also see the need to make money as well. Can anyone tell me how to become a composer, how to compose music, and how to distribute it and create passive income? Or can anyone tell me where I can learn more? And in case anyone is wondering, I have asked this question already. I just want some different answers and opinions from different people. Thanks!

How much per month 3. How much capital you use or used to create that revenue 4. Your percieved risk in that type of investment 5. Time that you take to manage it.

Some good ideas for passive income? What are some good ideas to create some passive income? more specifically easy methods of passive income that don't require much money to start. Whoever posts the most good ideas gets best answer. @Flingershock (Suspended) - I like your ideas for making money but they aren't really the kind of ideas im looking for, i mean things that mainly only involve work to get started, and then provide some extra income while im doing nothing. like renting a property or something im really just using yahoo answers as sort of an open brainstorm so if you have any ideas whatsoever, even if its a bad idea, please post them

looking to make money from the neck up? I consider myself smart, and I'm working on creating multiple passive income streams. I don't have the college degrees, but according to statistics, I have read more books that 90% of the us population. I kinda need some money now though, I just started a computer repair shop, I have a sign shop, what else can I do for some more money?
Is it smart to save money? Hi, My question is, is it smart to save a lot of money, in order to start earning a decent amount of cash from interest? Or are there better ways to create passive income (although the alternative should be just as safe as a bank deposit)? Thanks!
I can help people get finacially free, so why would people not want to get the INFO?? I work with an organization that is set up great to help people get finacially free by creating passive residual income(income that comes monthly for the rest of there lives). In 2-5 yrs producing 2-3k a month. All it takes is a commitment of 5-10hrs a week. I know people work alot already, but this business can take 20-40 years off retirement . Why wouldn't people want to do it or at least get the Info?
Methods to finding a great Niche? I am planning on setting up multiple sites to create a passive income from Adsense clicks, however when trying to come up with new niches that I can use I always hit a wall on ideas. How do you think of your niches when coming up with ideas? Thanks in advance
College job ideas, ones that I haven't heard yet.? My name is Brian and I am 18 years old and about to go to college this coming year. While I’m in college I was hoping to increase the size of my “nest egg”. Leaving college I would like to be in the best possible financial position. The problem for me is my major will be very demanding of my time (10 hour days Monday-Friday) I will be earning a BFA in acting. Having common sense I realize that I won’t be able to trade my time for money (hour/$x) so what are some means of creating passive income? Preferable the ideas I haven’t already heard. I want to thank you all in advanced for you advice, it is very much appreciated. Preferable any venture that does not include or at least rely on the internet.
Help on Manhattan investment rental property? I am looking to invest 100000 to 150000 into a studio apartment/condo in Manhattan. My goal is to create long lasting passive income where maintenance fees would cover issues that a landlord would typically deal with. If the building managers can handle finding people I could rent to to make it easier that would be great. Does anyone have any advice on how to get started. It would be a down payment.
Do conservatives know that raising the taxe rates on top brackets and passive income will spur the economy? Raising the rates of capital gains will discourage short term investing over long term investing as well as general monkey business in the market; raising dividend tax rates will nip dividend payments in the bud and take the pressure off of companies to that they can make longer term plans. Raising the rates on the top brackets will push capital into more aggressive investments that will spur technological innovation and create family wage paying jobs for workers as opposed to simply sitting safe in low yield bonds or other risk averse investment tools. Why would anyone oppose this?
How to generate revenue with a web page? I'm thinking about creating a website and I was just wondering what are the best ways of generating income through the site (without being a retailing site) i.e. in the form of ads or other media. And what are the expected amounts generated from those forms? Any other information about generating some passive income from a web page would be helpful.
Network Marketing requirements? I am a high school freshman and I was just wondering what the education requirements were to join a network marketing company are? Does it take any college? Any degrees? I want to join a network marketing company when I graduate high school so I can learn some business skills and create some passive income. Rich Dad Poor Dad recommended this. Any advice?
What are your biggest goals? Someone once asked me the following questions, and really thinking about the answers really helped me to take more control of my life. I like to ask them to other people because hearing about the great things that other people are doing with their lives inspires me even more. What do you want to accomplish? What will this accomplishment bring you? How will you feel when you've accomplished this? I want to become create a passive income stream that is sufficient for supporting my family and me. It will free up my time and energy for helping more people and creating more to share with the world, and more time and energy for enjoying adventures with my wife and daughter. I will feel excited and calm, powerful, energetic and at peace every day. What about you?
If I have $1000 to begin investing in stock? would Costco or Walmart be a good investment? Would it be a good idea to invest all in one or the other or both or neither? I am afraid, but want to start creating a passive stream of income.
Have conservative burned their bridge to the American worker? As I have demonstrated tirelessly here the low tax inspired investor feeding frenzy has wrecked the livelihoods of the many(workers) for the benefit of the few(the savvy investors). A lax labor market CREATED by this feeding frenzy has left millions salty. With more and more people losing more in active income than they gain in passive income with many more unable to join the party due to no extra money to invest can we safely say that the conservatives are out of touch and worse, have burned their bridge to the American worker?
Married Filing Separately - Student Loan - Income Based Repayment? In presenting the below situation to my CPA, I was told to “get a divorce;” As I believe my situation may be a little beyond his area of expertise, I ask the readers of this forum for both creative solutions as well as input on what type of professional to seek. I am aware that before execution of any strategy, my situation will require careful review with a tax attorney or CPA; However, I would like input from this forum to uncover strategies that could otherwise be overlooked and better prepare me to meet with the proper professional for my situation. Background: My wife (married mid-2011) was in a car accident a few years ago that resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and has left her disabled and unable to work. At the time of the accident she was a Medical Resident earning ~$46k/yr. and had/has about $~140k in student loans. She receives monthly disability benefits of ~$3300/month (gross) from her employer paid Long-Term Disability policy (own occupation through age 65). As part of the Income Based Repayment (IBR) program, her monthly payment for her student loans has been $75/month. Additional details are as follows: -We live in Minnesota -My current AGI ~$40k/yr. (will likely increase to $80k in near future) -Wife’s current AGI ~$40k/yr. (disability benefits only) -I own a condo valued ~$130k (with $130k mortgage - in my name only) oTotal monthly payment of ~$1000/month (mortgage, taxes, HOA, insurance) -Wife owns condo valued ~$150k (with $205k mortgage – in wife’s name only) oTotal monthly payment of ~$1700/month (mortgage, taxes, HOA, insurance) oMonthly rent = $$1400/month (assuming no vacancy) -I have a SIMPLE IRA valued at ~$5k -We have a joint brokerage account valued at ~$225k (funded by personal injury settlement) Problem: Now that we are married, we were told that we have the choice to elect “Married Filing Jointly” (MFJ) or “Married Filing Separately” (MFS). -If we elect MFJ, my income is included in the IBR calculation and increases the monthly payment on her student loans (9.5x) to ~$715/month; Further, as my income increases, her IBR will increase 15% for every additional dollar I make until eventually (likely in the near future) she would owe $1500+/month (after tax) even though her gross monthly income would only be ~$3300. -Conversely, if we elect MFS, her payments remain relatively low, but they still increase (3.9x) to ~$290/month, since the MFS designation eliminates the special allowance for passive losses (which reduced her AGI) from the rental of her former residence. -additionally, she received a PI settlement of ~$225k (policy max) that was invested in a brokerage account and is creating 1099-income that is being included in her student loan repayment calculation. Since her disability makes her a high-risk candidate for additional complications in the future, I would like to make sure this money would be available for her if the need arises (ie. not to payoff student loans or mortgage). At the same time, I do not want to stuff the money into a mattress and let inflation erode its value. Lastly, as earlier mentioned, my wife has a condo worth ~$150k with a mortgage of ~$205k. She currently has the unit rented out; however, the unit loses ~$300/month (mortgage, property tax, HOA, insurance). Had she not been in the accident, the unit would be very affordable as she would likely be earning ~$280k/yr. (median starting pay for her specialty) by now; However, given the circumstances, the unit currently costs ~50% of her gross monthly income (without renters) and is yet another substantial burden. Questions: -What are your thoughts on the following strategy – specifically, what are potential flaws and why would it not work? oFile taxes MFS oTransfer brokerage assets into my name exclusively – 1099 income on my tax return oWife obtains real estate license oWe purchase investment real estate in wife’s name (or LLC) oWife “materially participates” in the properties - qualify as “real estate professional” oAs a “real estate professional” – unlimited passive losses can offset her “other income” oOtherwise excluded passive losses (depreciation, loan interest, etc.) – reduce her AGI oWe structure property acquisitions to reduce her AGI to ideal IBR level -What other strategies could be implemented to minimize the net burden?

Should I buy house at this time? Hi all, I bought house 3 years ago at Bay Area and now I am 65% under water. I tried to work with my bank but they don’t want to work on my principal decrease so I decide to put my house on short sale market. In same time I am looking into buying another house for cash in different state that is going to create some passive income. And it will be under my business name. My business structure is LLC.So my question is would this future house be safe from my present short sale and can they do anything about that. Just another homeowner.
Real estate: Better to pay cash for one duplex or get a 50% down mortgage on it and a single? I have about $150,000 in cash and want to create some passive income. I've been renting and my original plan was to pay cash for a duplex for around $125,000. I could live in half and rent the other half out. But then I thought I should put 50% down on the duplex, mortgage the other half, and then do the same on a small single home to live in. How do I begin to figure out which would work out better financially?
costs to participate in Network 21 activities? Network 21 is an outsider provider of educational materials to build Amway businesses for individuals. How much does it cost a member in a year if they actively pursue all the recommended activities such as subscribe to CD program, attend weekly monthly and interstate conferences. Add on other costs of petrol, accommodation, food. Add up the direct costs so a prospective member can know in advance some range of costs over a year. What cost range are we looking at? Then give an estimate of how many hours a year this takes because it's supposed to create a "passive income". How many hours to attend functions, presentations, travel time, phone call time, talking to people time. How many hours do you estimate for a active member?
Teenage Money Making? Whats a good way for a teenager to create a source of passive income? I want to work during the summer and have a stream of income during the year.
If conseratives are so literate on economics, why can't they admit this? That raising the tax rates on top income brackets and on passive income modestly would *not* deprive the private sector of the capital resources it gets? That it would put all capital in the game to work by making it too costly to be "lazy" and avoid risk yet still protect the value of savings while skimping on taxes. And spur our economy by pushing capital into aggressive job creating investments as oppose to treasury bonds which sell like hotcakes at virtually nill interest. Yet are still profitable. making it is MORE expensive for the government to borrow and harder for it to do so. making it is MORE expensive for the government to borrow and harder for it to do so. lillbizzy: yes you can. a good plan that does both would spur growth. el telecote: it is NOT circular.
Not sure what to do...? I'm 18 years old, I'm 1 year behind in High school (Not because of failed grades but due to absence from a trip to brazil) I'm ambitious, but I find myself very lazy at times. I currently volunteer at a high end gym, work part-time (and earn more than $13 an hour + bonuses) At every passing day my urge to start projects for organizations, or business grows stronger, while my attention in school diminishes. I had plan's to attend a respectable university for a Bachelors of Commerce degree, but my slipping grades caused by my inability to pay attention in class is causing me to think outside of the box in regards on what to do with my life. I've learned multiple ways to create investment vehicles that can give better than average passive income, I have interest to learn much about business hands on, but in my accounting class my attention span to create fake business portfolios (bob's tires Balance sheet) takes a toll on my desire to be focused. I feel I'm a much more hand's on type of guy who desires to learn from failure, and grow to become successful in my future investments and business opportunities. However, at every corner I am pressured to "take it safe" and go to a university and get a degree to get a "safe" job so I can be "secure". Everyone in my family has never graduated from higher education and my mother migrated to North America alone with me (a baby) for a better future. So I feel not taking that higher education is something my family would take negatively. After high school should I just work and strive hands on? or continue with secondary education and tackle having a lot of debt? Im looking for the perspective of someone who has graduated from a Business School or attained a secondary education in the field of business, my questions to you are What steps did you take after your secondary education? What are your next steps today? What is your career, salary, and debt levels What do you see for yourself in the next 10 years? _______________________________________________________________ For those who haven't taken secondary education, but had the idea to be involved in business. What was your steps after high school? What is your current position (financially) What do you plan for yourself? ___________________________________________________ For both of you (that match the description) above. Let me know about yourself, doesn't have to be personal. But ... why did you choose what you did? Thanks for your time guys.
How is Global Warming alarmism like a cult? According to Robert Greene, in his 1998 bestselling book The 48 Laws of Power, power can be effectively achieved by creating a cult like following (LAW 27). This takes 5 easy steps. Lets see how the environmental alarmist have followed them. STEP 1: KEEP IT VAGUE; KEEP IT SIMPLE. The alarmist position tends to emphasize (to the exclusion of other factors in the most extreme cases) the role of CO2 as a greenhouse gas, and only give other factors that can impact the earth temperature changes (like the sun) a passive and even dismissive look. They tell people that the oracle of the computer models predict the future of earth. But they keep the complexities and limitations of computer modeling and statistical methods (such as data mining and curve fitting) hidden because they “complicate” the issues as do factors other than CO2. (http://www.co2science.org/scripts/CO2ScienceB2C/articles/V3/N6/EDIT.jsp )It’s easier to mobilize people on the basis of a simple solution to a simple clear-cut problem, which climate science is not. Compare the scientific content of Al Gore’s website ( http://www.climatecrisis.net/thescience/ ) to that of groups opposing the alarmist position (http://www.co2science.org/scripts/CO2ScienceB2C/Index.jsp ) STEP 2: EMPHASIZE THE VISUAL AND SENSUAL OVER THE INTELLECTUAL. Alarmist appeal to fears and emotions. Al Gore’s movie “An Inconvenient Truth” uses images of mundane environmental occurrences (the breaking off of ice from Antarctica) to the extraordinary (Hurricane Katrina) as “proof” of extreme climate change.( http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=YmFiZDAyMWFhMGIxNTgwNGIyMjVkZjQ4OGFiZjFlNjc= ) Appeals to animal lovers telling them of coming extinctions and showing polar bears. (http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2007-03/aiob-ipo022307.php ) And then tell it’s all the fault of CO2 and mostly human emissions of CO2. Like Mr. Gore, many environmentalist shy away from the full on scientific debate and give little if any proof of all this apocalyptic events to come. (http://www.co2science.org/scripts/CO2ScienceB2C/articles/V1/N2/EDIT.jsp ) And whenever a report proving some widely held assumption wrong, it gets buried in academic journals. http://www.co2science.org/scripts/CO2ScienceB2C/articles/V2/N12/EDIT.jsp STEP 3: BORROW THE FORMS OF ORGANIZED RELIGION The proselytizing about the coming apocalypse using armies of true believing unqualified volunteers is reminiscent of the way Christianity spreads. The zealotry and redeeming actions that individuals must flagellate themselves with are constantly preached. Even the medieval indulgences sold by the Roman Catholic Church have resurfaced in the form of carbon emission offsets. And of course, lets not forget the High Holidays such as Earth Day. (http://www.earthday.org/ ) STEP 4: DESGUISE YOUR SOURCE OF INCOME Alarmist cry that all those who oppose their view are being financed by the evil oil and automotive multinational corporations. They moan that any research that gives evidence that makes their claims doubtful is being paid with blood money. This of course takes the attention from the billions of dollars that are being provided by governments ( http://ec.europa.eu/environment/funding/pdf/handbook_funding.pdf , http://www.rec.org/REC/Databases/Funders/Default.html ; http://www.epa.gov/epahome/finance.htm ) to research the effects of global warming on everything, but anyone who dissents get’s their funding cut (http://www.CapMag.com/article.asp?ID=4941 ). All the fear mongering pressures politicians to provide all this earmarked taxpayer money. STEP 5: SET UP AN US-THEM DYNAMIC As mentioned above, anyone who opposes the alarmist view is demonized as Deniers (equating them to the neo-nazis) (http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/news/archives/story.html?id=216ca730-10f0-4614-9692-fc37d99cbac3 ) and many even ask for charges of crimes against humanity for them http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewBusiness.asp?Page=\\Business\\archive\\200205\\BUS20020529a.html ). http://a4a.mahost.org/fakes.html
Is this a good business idea? Hello. I'm 15. I want to know if you guys think this is a good idea. I want to start an online company. So the idea would be to start a web development company. What we would do is create a basic website using webs.com for free. We would buy a good domain name. We would choose a topic, and write a lot of articles about that topic. To make money, we would sell relevant affiliate products and ads on the site. After a month, depending on how much money we made, we would go to flippa.com and sell it for 5 times more. We would create a different website each week, so eventually we would sell a site every week. I think this should be good since we are making passive income for a month, and then selling it for more, and repeating. Do you think this is a good idea? Thanks.
Which of these 3 sites do you recommend most? (e-Business Only)? I'm 26 years old and pride myself on being an Entreprenuer and an Internet Marketer. I have wasted thousands on home business schemes and am now engaged and trying to create a real ebusiness that works. I am torn between 3 websites that offer what I am looking for in a home business: 6StepNicheSites.com - A Free guide that teaches you how to make niche blog sites that make you passive income through Adsense and Affiliate programs. SiteBuildIt.com - A complete Business In A Box program that teaches you everything about ebusiness and has all the tools to help you build a legit niche business online. FirePow.com - A brand new time saving system that allows you to put up tons of niche blog sites and make money through Adsense and Affiliate programs. Basically I wish I could do all of them but I'm under a lot of pressure to start something and I don't like wishy washy crap...if I make a decision I like to go all the way. So please if you have any insight into these 3 sites please let me know what you recommend. Finally...DO NOT post links to outside schemes or opportunities. I am ONLY interested in the ones listed here. Please also answer ONLY if you have real working knowledge! Thanks!
Anybody willing to REALLY help a young aspiring woman out with SEO for her business? Help get on top of google? Don't jump to conclusions yet. Let me explain please. I am a minor and I have created a website/business for myself and I am an affiliate marketer. My keyword term gets thousands of searches a month and i own the domain of that search term. I have worked very hard and I want to keep on working hard so I can make a passive income and live my life and my dreams. I want to change the world and make my life the best possible and I don't want to work a 9-5 job. I feel like I'm at a different level than my friends, all they talk about is boys, clothes and stupid things when I'm all about life and I want to change the world. To do this I need to get myself ahead of the game. I have been working extremely hard and I am quite proud of myself but its all a little overwhelming with all the things I need to do and then on top of that 8 hours of homework a day. I have a lot more things to do to my site but right now I really need traffic. I would like to work my way to the top of google when someone searches my search term (same as my domain). I really need help with seo and maybe writing small articles. I don't just need tips I need some straight to the point answers on like change this on your website and change this, and contact this person and whatever else. Writing articles with keywords that revolve around my main one or just links to my site would be wonderful. I am asking for someones help and it might be a lot to ask for nothing in return, but in return u will of helped the world, ik my job here on earth is to affect postiviely all the people in the world and if you can help me on this, you will help a a young girl follow her dreams and you will also be apart of chaning the world. I'm not trying to persuade you into helping me, I'm really telling you what I believe and feel. If there is anyone out there who is willing to help my follow my dreams please answer to this and then contact me and I will tell you more. If anyone does answer and says yes, I seriously won't ever be able to thank you enough. I want to be proactive in my life and I'm reaching out to the world for help. thank you for considering and live ur life.
how can i become financially independent? One of my goals in life is being financially independent and wealthy by the age of twenty five. From my perspective, I see the best method to obtain my dream via owning a small business which allows me to be own boss in addition to having financial freedom. Not all small business is successful, however those that can provide the consumer with a valuable service or product will have a healthy profit. I draw my inspiration from certain companies that have started small and by keeping business on a personal level, they create a robust bond with their customer base which keeps them coming back. Once the business venture is set up and is flourishing, I can outsource it and enjoy the passive income. My own blood, sweat, and tears will be required but I am determined to make nothing into something. If I put in the hard work now I can reap the benefits later when I am still in my youthful years. Through investing, operating a business, and working my way up the ladder I want to amass a small fortune of 700,000 within the next 9 years. This money would allow me to live the rest of my life the way I want to. Ultimately it would allow me to live abroad and pursue the finer things in life; travel, love, art, culture, and good food. I want to spend my years when I am still young backpacking around the world living my life to the fullest, instead of working for the "man". I'd rather dedicate my time to helping the less fortunate and improving my self. I am my own man and don't need someone to tell me who I am or what I can do. Thus, I need to be my own boss. So I turn to you for advice; What type of degree in college provides a holistic education that I can apply later in life? How should a 16 year old get his feet wet in the world of finance? What are essential skills that I should start learning now? Where is the future headed? Is my dream unrealistic to be financially independent by 25? Finally please tell me your experience and how it shaped you.
Google adsense account problems? I created a Google AdSense account for a website called Hubpages.com so I could do some freelance writing for a little passive income. After review, my account got disapproved because I am 15 years old (under 18) and because I only had one article on the website. I thought "Ok, that's not a big deal". A month or so later (now), I recieved an E-Mail from YouTube.com saying that I could earn money from my videos. I go to sign up, use my AdSense account information, and it doesn't allow me to use that account. I then go to delete it, but I found out that it would delete my entire Google account and I would have to put different payment information (name, address, etc.) in for the new account. I have always wanted a partnership for YouTube (my life's dream is to produce videos for YouTube and possibly get paid for it since I really enjoy movie production a lot), so this is a VERY major crisis for me. I would REALLY appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance! :)
Please help me to create a blog? So this is my story so far: I'm some 18 year old ordinary guy from panama that due to economy crisis, low salary payments and all that bad stuff out there decided to say "screw this crap! I'm gonna make my life off the internet!" Which brings me to my first idea, a journal showing my progress to my golden dream of having a pretty nice online passive income. The journal will start from "ordinary kid living with his parents" (my position right now) all the way to "guy who lives from the internet and can afford his own stuff with it" (hopefully a reachable position) So I went to blogger due to the fact that I can make my blog for free there and everything was going perfectly until the part in which I have to choose an address name. At first I thought of "theonlinemoneyjournal" due to the fact that it sounds edgy, unique, and willing to take its own risks...also "onlinemoneyjournal" was already taken. I decided to search "online money journal" in google and to my surprise the blog was one of the top searches in google's search list but also to my surprise the blog was...basically dead. So my dreams with that name died a bit there. Next I tried searching "online money diary" and I found a pretty nice website with that name, but it was also dead......so that makes me think "what the hell kind of name I have to use for it to work?!?!?!?" Should I name it journal, almanac, chronology, diary,(Actually "diary" not, sounds too girly), day book or log?!?!?(actually log sounds pretty manly). Should I use some flashy name!?!?!? like "supermegaultragigalogtohappiness.blogspot.com" Or does my idea simply suck?! I mean, there must be something wrong when people don't visit a page with such a simple idea that is in the top search of google I just wanna make the correct first step in my way to a passive online income so I decided to leave this stuff up to the people of the internet...now share opinions 1. Is it my online money journal a good or bad idea? 2.Why those blogs I visited were dead but at the same time in the top searches? "onlinemoneyjournal" "onlinemoneydiary" 3. Which address name should I put to my blog?
No one should ever work. What do you think of Bob Black's Essay? Work is the source of nearly all the misery in the world. Almost any evil you'd care to name comes from working or from living in a world designed for work. In order to stop suffering, we have to stop working. That doesn't mean we have to stop doing things. It does mean creating a new way of life based on play; in other words, a ludic conviviality, commensality, and maybe even art. There is more to play than child's play, as worthy as that is. I call for a collective adventure in generalized joy and freely interdependent exuberance. Play isn't passive. Doubtless we all need a lot more time for sheer sloth and slack than we ever enjoy now, regardless of income or occupation, but once recovered from employment-induced exhaustion nearly all of us want to act. Oblomovism and Stakhanovism are two sides of the same debased coin. Husband won't stop asking his mother and sister for money? Advice? I have been married for 2 years now and have 2 small children. My husband has struggled with keeping a job and even taking the initiative to look for work. I give him leads and tell him about openings, i have even created him a well written resume to take along with him and apply to any job that will help provide our family with an income. I work from home and provide really our only income of survival which is the bare minimum. Just enough to pay bills, eat, and care for my children. Although i am not complaining because i am grateful for what i have as i know there are others that are worse off, however i have to mention that i am not use to this way of life; scraping by. Before meeting my husband I traveled, vacationed on the wweekends, enjoyed trying new things, and enjoyed the extra things that my work allowed me to experience. Now I work harder just to make it. Here is the issue; My husband had made it a habit of asking his mother and sister for money, obviously instead of getting up and going out to get a job and keeping it. My inlaws and i have no relationship and we have had our share of altercations. I have tried to make good with them however it is just very clear that they do not care for me, for whatever reason i do not know. They are very passive aggressive in their interactions with me. I believe that instead of making it a point to my husband that he has to find work to provide for his family they instead enable him and continue to give him money because they want to feel needed by him and maintain any type of control over his life that they feel they have lost since being with me. I asked my husband to stp this and asked his mother and sister as well, yet again he has done the same thing. I am and have always been a very independent person and carried much pride in my strengths and ability to take care of myself. I feel so many emotions when he does this. How can his fmily respect me or our marriage if they cant even see us working together to take care of our responsibilities. I feel embarassed that they get the satisfaction of knowing they are in some way still supporting him. I feel instantly unattracted to my husband for not being a strong man that we need and do what he needs to do. I feel anger for yet again making the same decision. I feel angry with his family for not demanding more from him and just allowing him to not further his self. We are young but our life and responsibilities are not. Advice?
How many read this section of the Obamacare ruling? From page 42 of the ruling: It would be a radical departure from existing case law to hold that Congress can regulate inactivity under the Commerce Clause. If it has the power to compel an otherwise passive individual into a commercial transaction with a third party merely by asserting --- as was done in the Act --- that compelling the actual transaction is itself “commercial and economic in nature, and substantially affects interstate commerce” [see Act § 1501(a)(1)], it is not hyperbolizing to suggest that Congress could do almost anything it wanted. It is difficult to imagine that a nation which began, at least in part, as the result of opposition to a British mandate giving the East India Company a monopoly and imposing a nominal tax on all tea sold in America would have set out to create a government with the power to force people to buy tea in the first place. If Congress can penalize a passive individual for failing to engage in commerce, the enumeration of powers in the Constitution would have been in vain for it would be “difficult to perceive any limitation on federal power” [Lopez, supra, 514 U.S. at 564], and we would have a Constitution in name only. From Page 46 of the ruling: http://www.politico.com/static/PPM153_vin.html For example, everyone must participate in the food market. Instead of attempting to control wheat supply by regulating the acreage and amount of wheat a farmer could grow as in Wickard, under this logic, Congress could more directly raise toolow wheat prices merely by increasing demand through mandating that every adult purchase and consume wheat bread daily, rationalized on the grounds that because everyone must participate in the market for food, non-consumers of wheat bread adversely affect prices in the wheat market. Or, as was discussed during oral argument, Congress could require that people buy and consume broccoli at regular intervals, not only because the required purchases will positively impact interstate commerce, but also because people who eat healthier tend to be healthier, and are thus more productive and put less of a strain on the health care system. Similarly, because virtually no one can be divorced from the transportation market, Congress could require that everyone above a certain income threshold buy a General Motors automobile --- now partially government-owned --- because those who do not buy GM cars (or those who buy foreign cars) are adversely impacting commerce and a taxpayer-subsidized business.

Thanks!
What are some sources of passive income? For an inventive, smart teenager who shows some potential, what are some things that I can do to create sources of passive income? That is, what are some things I can do to make a product and sell it without any cost to me recurrently? If that doesn't make sense, you know how musicians make music and post it on iTunes and online websites? And they don't have to do anything else and every month they rack in money from people buying their music. Is there anything that uses that same principle that a TEENAGER can do?

Saving Money Vs Alternatives? My question is, is it smart to save a lot of money, in order to start earning a decent amount of cash from interest? Or are there better ways to create passive income (although the alternative should be just as safe as a bank deposit)? Thank you!
What should I invest in? I just turned 26, single with no kids. I'm in college right now but I need advice on how I should invest about $5,000. I have perfect credit and payed off all of my credit cards. I was thinking about buying a duplex in the North Dallas area and renting out both sides to create income. I want to be self employed and live comfortable by the time I'm 30. I work full time and have been looking into ways to create passive income. Some type of rental property or online website/ business looks like a good move, just need more opinions/ options. I'm open to all reasonable suggestions. Thank you
How to generate revenue with a web page? I'm thinking about creating a website and I was just wondering what are the best ways of generating income through the site (without being a retailing site) i.e. in the form of ads or other media. And what are the expected amounts generated from those forms? Any other information about generating some passive income from a web page would be helpful.
